Pinocchio…Why?

Now why do I call this little Chihuahua, Pinocchio?

Well that’s easy…I made him using Tencel Roving, Bamboo Roving and used a little wool roving to cover him.

Tencel fibers are extracted from the raw wood. The fiber production is extremely ecofriendly. On the day that the TENCEL® fibers were invented, a new chapter was written in the history of fibers. Textiles of TENCEL® fibers are more absorbent than cotton, softer than silk and cooler than linen.

Bamboo fiber is extracted from natural bamboo, and is made from the pulp of bamboo plants.

Bamboo is very resilient and durable as a fiber. Comparing it to cotton and polyester, it is found to have a high breaking tenacity, better moisture-wicking properties, and better moisture absorption.

… So back to my little Chihuahua, technically he is made almost entirely out of wood, thus the name Pinocchio.

Now the one question remains: if I made him out of wood, does that make me a carpenter?
